Antoninus Pius (138-161 AD) for Faustina II. AE Sestertius (31-33 mm, 4.26 g), Rome, 147-149. Obv. FAVSTINAE AVG PII AVG FIL, Draped bust to right, hair bound with a band of pearls. Rev. VENVS / S-C, Venus standing facing, head left, holding apple in her right hand and rudder entwined by a dolphin with her left. RIC 1409a; BMC 2148.
Struck on a broad flan. Brown patina, good very fine.
